Here's a killer interview Kenny had with Joshua Travis of The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza!

1. Hello Joshua! How's things going in the T.D.T.D.E. camp?
Hey everything is going well for us right now. a bit slow, but still good none the less.

2. Is the upcoming CD completed yet?
Yes the new record is complete! it did take a bit longer in the long run to get this one finished up than we imagined it would, but it issssssssssssssss done.

3. Is it true you do drums too on this release?
Yeah i had to do drums on this release since when we entered the studio we didnt have
a drummer. there really wasnt enough time to find someone, get them familiar enough
with the songs and into the studio in the amount of time we had
to work with. in the end, i knew all the parts already, so it just seemed right for me to
attempt doing them myself lol... keyword...... ATTEMPT!!!!!

4. How many songs will be on it? Can you reveal any song titles yet?
Well you know, i do know how many tracks are on it, but it wouldnt be much of a surprise
if i was to say so now right ? lol theres at least 3 songs on it. haha how about that!!! As for song titles, ill tell you this, some are funny / silly, and some are not funny / silly at all..

5. How does T.D.T.D.E. go about with the writing process?
I think DANZA back in the day with the original members was very collective amongst all the guys. Someone probably went in with a riff, then the drums came into it, then bass, then vox, so on and so on you know. on d3 i wrote around 90% of the material alone, some parts were added from my boy Nate northway. he taught me how to play guitar, so it was easy working with
him on "12-21-12". Layne meylain, one of the original guitarist of danza, and i wrote together on the songs "lost and damned", and "hour of the time".
danza 4 i did by myself.
6. How long have you been playing guitar and who were your early influences?
I think ive been playing guitar for around 13 years now ? something like that... long enough that I should be about 15 times better than I am currently. lame lol...growing up for me, I listened to korn.. more than any other band... ever... period. that was all I ever wanted to listen to.. then I started hearing of more and more, so from korn it just went heavier and heavier really.. burnt by the sun, will haven, converge, machine head, sepultura.. then all hell broke loose when I found out about cannibal corpse. I didnt know what to do with myself then.
I take that back... that was a major turning point and all.. but all hell didnt actually break loose until nate ? yeah... he made me listen to meshuggah..... that my friends... is when all hell break loose. I still think to this day that they are still the heaviest band on the planet... period.

7. Hahaha… do you own any 6 string guitars? And which guitar is your current favorite?
Hahaha 6 strings.... yeah I still own a few. Do they ever get played ? of coarse not lol but I do own them still!
6 strings are for kids.. just saying lol my favorite is my strictly 7 cutsom 8 string. I can go reeeeeaaaallllly really really really high, or reaaaaaaaaallllllllllly really low.. I love that about them, and they don't crap out on me like a lot of the other guitar I have owned. They are monsters serisouly.

8. What's your 'live' setup consist of?
For a long time now, I've been playing live with two engl invader 150's, through as many orange hp 4x12's that we could get on a stage. For effects I used the lexicon mpx 1. Pretty old school unit but it had everything I ever needed on it. Since its stereo, I just ran the processor to both heads. Really thats it. Nothing big or crazy in my setup at all.

9. Have you ever tried any of the Axe Fx units? Would you use one for 'live' / touring?
We went out with the band circle of contempt, and they turned me on to the Axe Fx. We tried it out at a venue one day really early, and yeah my jaw dropped... couldnt believe it at all. That brings us to my current setup. Axe Fx ultra. Then end lol. No need for the old lexicon anymore. It has everything and literally 2347689034-089345 more. I have messed with stuff on this thing that I'm sure I will never use, at any point, ever.. not even to be stupid.. I'm just not going to lol but it has it!!! lol... And that's my live touring rig now. I'll probably power it with a 6505, or something easy like that. not sure yet.

10. What's a typical day for Joshua Travis when your not blazing that 8 string on tour?
I honestly write constantly. It's the only practice I get really. This is why I'm not very good at guitar. I spend most of my time trying to get good mixes, and trying to writ good songs you know? So I never really got into lead guitar at all. The few times I've tried to get into it, it just makes me mad.. I can't do all that weedly weedly weedly crap.. I wish I could, but I can't. Big sad face. when I'm not touring, I play alot... of video games as well... like, hours upon hours upon hours. I'm a total nerd.. I have like 7 friends at HOME.. NO IM NOT KIDDING LOL TOTALLY LAME. THATS IT REALLY, PLAY VIDEO GAMES, RECORD, VIDEO GAMES, RECORD... OH YEAH..QDOBA!!!! I'LL FIGHT SOMEONE FOR THAT STUFF... UGH...

Thanks Joshua!! Here's a sound video sample of some sound testing for
